PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain discharge unit for a combine harvester, capable of preventing adjacently arranged cylindrical members (33) or pieces of a screw (32) from interfering with each other, when the pieces of the screw (32) are moved in a direction where the length of the screw is decreased. SOLUTION: This grain discharge unit for the combine harvester is equipped with the screw (32) which is installed in the auger cylinders (18a) (25) for unloading grains from a grain tank (16) and divided into a plural number of pieces in the axial direction, so tat the screw (32) is freely expanded and contracted, and an expanding and contracting mechanism (29)by which the auger cylinders (18a) (25) are expanded and contracted, wherein the piece of the screw (32) is fastened to the cylindrical member (33) which is engaged and axially supported with a center shat (18b), integrally rotated with the shaft and slid in the axial direction, so as to be positioned on the mid-point of the cylindrical member (32) in a direction of transporting the grains, and further the length of the piece of the screw (32) in the longitudinal direction is made to be longer than that of the cylindrical member (33) of the screw.
