PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method to easily manufacture a spline part having a region lacking tooth while suppressing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: At the beginning, a recessed part 15 corresponding to a lacking tooth region 9 is preliminarily formed on the inner peripheral face of a cylindrical shape stock 11. Next, in an indentation process, the shape stock 11 is forcedly pressed into the clearance 40 between a die 20 and a mandrel 30, many splines 7 are formed on the outer peripheral face of the shape stock 11 by the die face of a forming line groove 22 of the die 20. Further, an excess material in excess of forming the region 9 lacking tooth is caused to flow into the recessed part 15, the inner peripheral face of the shape stock 11 is continuously formed to a continuous peripheral face 6 without ruggedness by a continuous forming peripheral face 32 as the outer peripheral face of the mandrel 30. |
