PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the separation of glass panes from liquid crystal display panels without breaking the glass panes is heretofore difficult. SOLUTION: The front glass panes 11 of the liquid crystal display panels 10 comprising at least the front glass panes 11 the liquid crystals arranged between the front glass panes 11 and the rear glass panes 12 and sealing materials for sealing the liquid crystals between the front glass panes 11 and the rear glass panes 12 are heated from outside by using a heating means 2, by which a temperature difference is induced between the front glass panes 11 and the rear glass panes 12. The front glass panes 11 and the rear glass panes 12 are relatively shifted by utilizing the difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion between the front glass panes 11 and the rear glass panes 12 by this temperature difference and the front glass panes 11 and the rear glass panes 12 are separated by using the separating means 4.
