PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the contamination of a game medium which cannot be removed by a simple rubbing SOLUTION: Pachinko balls are pumped up to a pool tank 53 by a polishing- pumping up machine 10 after being returned from a pachinko machine 50 to an external tank 52. Then, the pachinko balls are put out as prize balls or renting out balls again as the route. During the route, when the pachinko ball passes an aligning gutter 20, a ball detecting sensor 33 detects the pachinko ball, and outputs a ball detecting signal to a control device 40. Then, the control device 40 outputs an on signal to a laser oscillator 31. The laser oscillator 31 feeds a short pulse laser beam to the laser gun 30, and the laser gun 30 casts the laser to the surface of the pachinko ball. In this case, by the irradiation of the short pulse laser beam, the laser beam repeats the irradiation and the stop by a short cycle. Thus, on the surface of the pachinko ball, a thermal strain is generated, and a fine resonance is generated. Therefore, contamination is peeled and removed from the surface of the pachinko ball.
