PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method and equipment capable of efficiently cleaning soil to get rid of contaminants. SOLUTION: The cleaning method for the soil comprising installing a force- feed well for force feeding gas into the soil and an extraction well for vacuum extraction of the contaminants containing at least organic compounds or mineral oil in the soil and extracting the contaminants from the extraction well by bringing the gas force fed from the force-feed well into contact with the contaminants has a process step of enclosing a contamination region contaminated by the contaminants by using adiathermonous members having gas sheldability, a process step of covering the top surfaces of the regions covered by the adiathermonous members with gas shieldable members having gas shieldability, a process step of force feeding the heated gas into the force-feed well and a process step of vacuum extracting the gas containing the contaminants from the extraction well.
