PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seam welding equipment capable of performing sure seam welding of high quality without enlarging the equipment. SOLUTION: An adjusting mechanism which adjusts a superposing quantity at both confronting end parts of a preceding strip 1 and a succeeding strip 2, an elevating mechanism which vertically moves a vertically operating clamp 20 fixed at the tail end of the preceding strip or the tip of the succeeding strip when superposing both confronting end parts of both strips and a feeding mechanism for feeding the preceding strip or the succeeding strip in the superposing direction when superposing both confronting end parts of both strips are provided only in either one side of an exit side clamp device or an inlet side clamp device, and the other side clamp device is fixedly attached to a common base 54.
