PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding wheelchair which can easily transfer a patient from a bed to the wheelchair by being foldable into a plane form. SOLUTION: A parallel link section (2a) is formed by respectively turnably connecting a front frame (5) and a rear frame (4) which are in parallel in the vertical direction on the front and the rear, and a seat frame (6) and a base frame (3) which are in parallel in the longitudinal direction on the top and the bottom. At the same time, a pair of right and left side frames (2) which are formed by extending the rear frame (4) upward are provided. Then, respective side frames (2) are separated in the lateral direction, and the front sections and the upper sections excepting the lower rear sections are connected with each other. Then, a rear leg (10) is turnably hung and connected through a fulcrum pin (P7) in the lateral direction, at an intermediate section in the vertical direction of the rear frame (4). Then, an intermediate section in the vertical direction of the parallel link section (2a) of one side frame (2), and an intermediate section in the vertical direction of the rear leg (10) are connected by a driving device (12) which is stretchable in the longitudinal direction. A seat (13) is provided between seat frames (6) of respective side frames (2). Then, wheels (16, 17 and 15) are provided at the lower section of the base frame (3) and the lower end of the rear leg (10).
