PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warming pot where a temperature is managed optimally in rice cooking and warming by detecting the temperature of the side part of the pot without causing a trouble in attaching/detaching the pot. SOLUTION: An infrared temperature sensor 31 is provided on the side face of the pot 11 in a state of non-contact therewith. Based on a temperature detected by the sensor 31 in addition to a pot temperature sensor 21 and a lid temperature sensor 57, a rice cooking heating means consisting of a heating coil 16, a cord heater 28 and a lid heater 56 and a warming heating means are controlled of rice cooking and warming.
