PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe granular food containing an antioxidant safe as long as being not ingested in a large amount in view of food hygiene in a higher concentration at outside of the granule than at inside of the granule, having sufficient antioxidizing effects with a small amount of the antioxidant included, scarcely causing deterioration of the quality and excellent in preservability, and to provide a method for producing the granular food. SOLUTION: The granular food is characterized by including the antioxidant at least a part of the surface thereof in higher concentration at the outside of the granule than at the inside of the granule. The granular food preferably comprises the antioxidant in an amount of 0.001-1 wt.% and the antioxidant is preferably vitamin E or vitamin C. The method for producing the granular food is characterized by granulating the food by using a liquid containing the antioxidant to obtain the granular food containing the antioxidant at least a part of the surface thereof and in the higher concentration of the antioxidant at the outside of the granule than at the inside of the granule. |
