PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denitration apparatus for waste heat recovery boiler, in which the ratio of NO2 in NOx contained in a waste gas is decreased and the ratio of NO is increased to improve the denitration performance and then, the consumption of NH3 is saved. SOLUTION: A NO2 reduction catalyst layer 11 is arranged on the upstream side of an ammonia injection nozzle 5a and a denitration catalyst layer 5b.
