WELDING METHOD AND WELD JOINED PART FOR STRUCTURAL MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method and a weld joined part by which the direction of cracks caused in a weld zone of a structural member is controlled and the reduction of strength in the weld zone is prevented. SOLUTION: The welding method is provided with a process for stacking a heat transmitting tape to the part from the groove end K of the member having a groove to a place 5 mm or more apart from the groove end K in the axial direction of the member and a process for butt welding the groove part by butting end parts to be welded each other. In the method, the distance between the toe of a first weld bead and the toe of a second weld bead is <=15 mm. The weld joined part welded by the welding method is also included in the invension.
