PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pay out device for game balls capable of quickly finding a trouble to stop the pay out operation when a trouble occurs in a detecting switch in the pay out device for the game balls so that a designated number of game balls can't be paid out, or informing this event. SOLUTION: A detection switch (a ball dividing control switch 60, a ball dispensing detecting switch 70 or a prize ball detecting switch 80) is provided at least in two portions on the upstream side or the downstream side in a flow passage for the game balls. It is determined by a pay out number difference detecting means whether or not a difference in number of game balls detected by the respective detection switches is within the range of a regulated number, and when it is decided that the difference in detected number exceeds the regulated number, the pay out operation for the game balls is stopped by the pay out stopping means. The pay out number difference detecting means and the pay out stopping means are formed by a main control board 110 and a prize ball control board 120 operated under the control of the main control board 110.
