PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field adjusting device and method capable of easily and highly precisely adjusting the magnetic field and to provide a recording medium. SOLUTION: This magnetic field adjusting device 10 calculates the positions to dispose magnetic field adjusting pieces 40 and the number of the pieces 40 by a linear programming. An estimated value of the magnetic field uniformity is calculated based on the positions and the number of the magnetic field adjusting pieces 40. When the estimated value of the magnetic field uniformity is a prescribed value or less, the positions and the number of the magnetic field adjusting pieces 40 are displayed on a display part 26. An operator disposes the magnetic field adjusting pieces 40 in the magnetic field adjusting device 10 based on the display. When the estimated value of the magnetic field uniformity is a prescribed value or more, the estimated value of the magnetic field uniformity is calculated for every position of the magnetic field adjusting pieces 40 by a direct search method. The positions and the number of the magnetic field adjusting pieces 40 where the estimated value of the magnetic field uniformity becomes the minimum are selected and displayed on a display part 26. The operator disposes the magnetic field adjusting pieces 40 in the magnetic field adjusting device 10 based on the display. It may be allowable to set an upper limit in the number of the magnetic field adjusting pieces 40.
