PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which reduces dust to be adhered again onto a surface to be cleaned from leaned napped cloths and which is easily used with high dust collecting performance. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a motor-driven blower 102 for generating an air stream inside a main body 8, a sucking port 3 for sucking dust on the surface to be cleaned and an intake passage 108 by which the intake side 103 of the blower 102 communicates with the sucking port 3. In the vacuum cleaner, the napped cloths 1a and 1b are adjacently arranged on the opposite surface of the surface to be cleaned in the neighborhood of the sucking port 3 so as to permit the pile leaning directions are mutually opposed. Then dust adhering again onto the surface to be cleaned from the cloths 1a and 1b is reduced so that the vacuum cleaner can be easily used with high dust collecting performance.
