PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original and functional buckle. SOLUTION: A buckle has buckle component members 1 and 2, which are oppositely arranged end to end, engagement portions A1 and A2 formed in the opposite portions 1a and 1b of the buckle component members, an engagement member 9 removably or fixedly mounted to the engagement portion A1 of one buckle component member 1 and removably engaged with the engagement portion A2 of the buckle component member 2, and engaged portions 7a, 7b, 8a and 8b arranged in the buckle component members 1 and 2, and is provided with an engagement claw piece 12 released from engagement with the engagement portions A1 and A2, when a folding force is relatively applied to one or the other buckle component members 1 and 2.
