PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method and a structure for preventing the re-mixing of separated components in a novel filter cloth reversal type centrifuge, whereby the dehydrated cake and the filtrate once separated from each other are prevented from being re-mixed with each other and a desired state of separation ca be attained. SOLUTION: This method comprises forming an air curtain between a filtrate recovery section 20 through which a liquid component downwardly flows and a cake recovery section 21 through which a solid component falls by feeding purging air into the space between a weir 25 provided on the boundary between the section 20 and section 21 and a centrifugal drum 1, and prevents problems such as the flowing of the filtrate from the side of the section 20 to the side of the section 21, or conversely, the invading of the dehydrated cake from the side of the section 21 to the side of the section 20.
