PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for dry cleaning in which mixing ratios when silicone oil based solvents are used in a dry cleaner apparatus and fluorine based inert solvents are mixed with these to prepare incombustible solvents are appropriately controlled. SOLUTION: The dry cleaning apparatus in which incombustible solvent mixing tanks 35 and 35a for mixing silicone oil based solvents 4 and 4a with the incombustible solvents 36 and 36a being installed on pipelines for feeding the solvents into base tanks (a solvent tank 3a for rinsing and a solvent tank 3 for washing), heat exchangers for adjusting temperatures of the incombustible solvents in the mixing tanks and control devices for controlling the heat exchangers and controlling the temperature of the incombustible solvents to appropriate temperature are provided and when the silicone oil based solvents flow in the storing layers of the incombustible solvents, the temperatures of the incombustible solvents are controlled so as to hold them at constant temperatures and their solubilities in the silicone oil based solvents are held to perform cleaning of clothes with the silicone oil based solvents, is provided.
