PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispenser capable of stably performing good coating even if highly viscous and highly thixotropic paste is applied and a paste coating method using this dispenser. SOLUTION: The dispenser is equipped with a syringe 3 filled with the paste 2 and provided with a nozzle 4 for discharging the paste 2 to supply the same, a pressure energizing means 5 for pressing and energizing the syringe 3 toward a work 1 to bring the nozzle 4 into contact with the coating surface of the work 1 and a moving means 6 for moving the syringe 3 almost in parallel to the coating surface of the work 1 in such a state that the nozzle 4 is in contact with the coating surface of the work 1. The syringe 3 is moved almost in parallel to the coating surface of the work 1 in such a state that the nozzle 4 is inclined fowardly in the moving direction of the syringe 3 so that the angle (angle of inclination)θformed by the nozzle 4 and the coating surface of the work 1 on the front side in the moving direction of the syringe becomes <90 deg..
