SOLUTION: Rough working is performed for a gear 300 to be worked by reciprocatingly moving in a parallel direction for the rotary shaft, a grinding wheel 118 for rotatably supporting the gear 300 around a rotary shaft of the gear 300 and working a tooth shape of the gear 300, advancing the wheel 118 in a first right angle direction for the rotary shaft of the gear 300 (grinding of a tooth height direction). Subsequently, finishing is performed for the gear 300 by advancing and retreating the grinding wheel 118 in a second right angle direction different from the first right angle direction (grinding of a tooth thickness direction). By the finishing work, a three-dimensional tooth flank shape with excellent transmission efficiency and the little noises can be obtained.
