PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon for an ultrasonic diagnostic device capable of taking a distance between an ultrasonic probe and a detecting part by sufficiently expanding the balloon without floating a tightening ring integrally formed on an end part opening of the balloon from an overall peripheral groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the inserting part of the ultrasonic diagnostic device at the time of expanding the balloon and its mounting method. SOLUTION: The fastening ring 6 integrally formed on the balloon 5 to surround the ultrasonic probe 3 is fit in the overall peripheral groove 4 of the ultrasonic diagnostic device by positioning it on the inner peripheral side of the end part opening of the balloon 5.
