METHOD FOR OBTAINING TRANSCRIPTION SEQUENCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for tentatively determining an unknown gene sequence by utilizing known gene sequence data, EST(expressed sequence tag) data and genome data. SOLUTION: This method comprises the following procedures: a 1st consensus sequence is obtained by making a homology retrieval from known gene sequences and known EST sequences both included in respective known gene sequence database, known EST sequence database and genomic sequence database to construct a 1st consensus sequence database (A); predicted gene sequences are extracted by predicting the domains to be transcribed to mRNA based on the known genome sequences in the above database to construct a predicted gene sequence database (B); and a 2nd consensus sequence as the unknown gene sequence data is obtained by making a homology retrieval with the consensus sequences included in the database (A) for a specific predicted gene sequence included in the database (B).
