PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resectoscope which is simple in structure and inexpensive, and capable of effectively making a treatment for a lesion part without a bad influence of an insulating liquid upon the human body and any restriction on the operation time. SOLUTION: When a high-frequency current is applied to a treatment electrode 41 with the treatment electrode 41 brought into contact with biotissue 152 in a conductive liquid 151 by load characteristic electric power of a second output transformer, a high-frequency current flows between the treatment electrode 41 and a return electrode 45 so that the treatment electrode 41 generates heat, and the conductive liquid 151 ion the outer peripheral surface of the treatment electrode 41 becomes bubbles 153 to cover the treatment electrode 41, whereby the interelectrode resistance is raised from the resistance R1 to high resistance to be substantially in the insulating state, and with such rise, the voltage is raised to cause discharge between the treatment electrode 41 and the biotissue 152. Thus, treatment is made by a high-frequency current produced by discharge. |
