PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous releasing agent for die casting with which excellent releasing property from a die is realized and also, a little of which remains and accumulates on the surface of the die and further, even in the case of contact with molten metal, carbon and gas are not developed and there fore, dislocation in a product and adverse effect to a product quality are not developed, and even in the case that it has stuck to surrounding machines, etc., the development of rust can effectively be restrained or prevented. SOLUTION: The aqueous releasing agent for die casting, is constituted of a solution, in which at least one kind of water soluble inorganic salt of metal having a higher ionization tendency than that of molten metal, and not reacting with the molten metal and this melting temperature or decomposition temperature at higher than the molten metal temperature, is obtained by dissolving into aqueous medium and also, pH of the solution is controlled to >=10.
