PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of shortening a cycle time by reducing the size of a hand fitting part of an automatic feeder and eliminating the lowering of the machining accuracy and the defective on a finishing surface. SOLUTION: This machine tool is provided with a work feed/storage part 12 feeding and storing unworked works, a carrier robot 9 having a robot body 10 freely advancing/retreating and robot hands 15a and 15b provided in the robot body 10 and advancing/retreating in the direction crossing to the advancing/retreating direction of the robot body 10, and rotational movement arms 19a and 19b rotationally moving between a first position delivering and accepting the works with the robot hands 15 and 15b and a second position delivering and accepting the works with a work retainer part 3. This machine tool is so constituted that, while the robot body 10 advances/retreats between the rotational movement arms 19a and 19b and the work feed/storage part 12, the robot hands 15a and 15b advance/retreat so as to deliver/accept the works.
