PURPOSE: A device and a method for automatically correcting key input is provided to correct key input errors by suggesting a memorized normal key input state to a user when the user mistook the key input. CONSTITUTION: A keypad unit(11) receives key input. A key decoder(12) receives a signal of the key input from the key pad unit(11) and decodes the signal. A control unit(13) receives the decoded signal and controls a system generally. An operation unit(14) receives a control signal from the control unit(13) and performs a corresponding operation of the key input. The first memory unit(15) receives and stores operation information with respect to the key input from the control unit(13). In the case that a corresponding operation of the key input is normally performed, the second memory(16) receives and stores the operation information with respect to the key input of the first memory unit(15). A display unit(17) receives a control signal from the control unit(13) and displays information in accordance with a normal operation of the key input.
