PURPOSE: A length adjustable socket device is provided to improve workability by allowing a length of an inner barrel of an extension bar to be freely adjusted within an outer barrel, if required. CONSTITUTION: A socket wrench has a socket(1), an extension bar(2), and a wrench inserting depression(3). The extension bar(2) includes an outer barrel(4) and an inner barrel(7). The inner barrel(7) is resiliently supported by a spring(5) within the outer barrel(4). The inner barrel(7) is freely moved along a guide groove(6) within the outer barrel(4). A threaded portion is formed at the tip end of the outer barrel(4). A coupling(9) into which a ring(8) is fitted is threadedly connected to the threaded portion of the outer barrel(4).
