PURPOSE: A caller information transmission method through a public phone is provided to inform transmission of caller information to an exchange when the caller wants to inform one's own information to a recipient, receive the caller information through the public telephone and transmit the information to the recipient. CONSTITUTION: When the telephone fee is inputted, a dial tone is transmitted and it is discriminated whether an input is * or # by receiving the input of a character board. If the input is not * or #, a general telephone mode is performed. If the input is * or #, a caller information transmission mode is performed and then the telephone information of the caller is received through a key button about one digit by one and then stored temporarily. If the inputted digit is a predetermined input such as * or #, the temporarily stored digit is stored as a caller telephone number information and thereafter the present mode is changed into a general telephone mode. Thereafter, in the general telephone mode, the reception telephone number is inputted and then connected to the recipient. The caller telephone number information is received and then displayed to a caller identification window of the recipient.
