PURPOSE: A brake of a charging crane is provided to exactly stop the charging crane reciprocating along a traveling rail on a parking position and to prevent an accident by preventing a wheel from sliding. CONSTITUTION: A brake in a charging crane comprises a charging crane reciprocating on a traveling rail(3); a bucket lifted by the charging crane; a side brake unit(10) attached to a side portion of the traveling rail; plural traveling wheels formed on a lower portion of the charging crane; a cylinder fixing bar(10a) removably assembled on a wheel bracket(2); an actuating cylinder(11) formed on the cylinder fixing bar; an actuating arm(19) connected to the cylinder bar through hinge pin(19a); a shoe fixing bar(12) arranged on the actuating arm; a shoe installed on a front portion of the shoe fixing bar corresponding to the traveling rail; idle rollers(14a,14b) contacting to a side portion of the traveling rail by being mounted on both sides of the shoe fixing bar; a connecting hole(19b) penetrating the actuating arm; fixing caps(18a,18b) mounted on the idle rollers; and springs(17a,17b) elastically supporting link bars(16a,16b) by being contained in the fixing cap.
