PURPOSE: An automatic bell setting apparatus and the method by time intervals are provided to construct a bell setting table to the cellular phone and set the bells matching the constant time zones, thereby reducing the inconveniences that a user changes the bells by manual. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(20) controls functions of the cellular phone. A timer unit(21) has information on the present time. A bell/motor unit(22) notifies the destination state to the user. A bell setting table(23) has various kinds of bells and the various volume sizes of the bell by time zones. The control unit(20) receives the kind and volume size of the destination bell for using at the constant time zone from the user, records and stores the contents to the bell setting table. By using the present time information of the timer unit(21), the kind and volume size of the corresponding bell are obtained. After setting the kind and volume size of the bell, a signal is transmitted to the bell/motor unit(22), so that the user can sense the destination state.
