PURPOSE: A variable oil pump for a vehicle is provided to variably driving two pumping chambers according to the cold starting state of a low speed or a warming-up state of a high speed for an engine, thereby preventing the damage of the engine while improving the engine output. CONSTITUTION: A variable oil pump for a vehicle includes a pump main body(10) having a partition wall(11) for defining first and second pumping chambers(16,18) inside and a suction end and a discharge end respectively for inhaling and discharging oil, a first driving shaft(22) having a driving gear inserted into the first pumping chamber, a second driving shaft(24) detachably coupled with the first driving shaft and having a driving gear inserted into the second pumping chamber, driven shafts(42,44) having driven gears(52,54) to be respectively engaged with the first and second driving shafts, a driving shaft separating element(60) for separating the first and second driving shaft from each other according to the heat of an engine, and an elastic element(70) for elastically supporting the second driving shaft.
