The present discloses a plant for bodies assembling (15) with workstations (16) and means (12) for transporting the bodies between the workstations; comprising reference members (17) transitorily assembled in the transporting means to support the body over the transporting mean during its transit between the workstations and the gripping devices (27) assembled in the workstations to grip the reference members (17) and place them with precision while been temporarily uncoupled from the transporting mean for placing with precision the supported body on the reference members in the station space. The reference members (17) comprise means (39, 40) to grip the body and fasten it in a stable way against them when operated by actuators (44) assembled in the station.
