PURPOSE: A device for detecting breakdown of cycro converter is provided to take a prompt measure in a breakdown of a cycro converter by detecting and displaying a breakdown position of the cycro converter. CONSTITUTION: An operation unit(21) includes a power on/off switch, a read key and a reset key. A power supply unit(26) supplies each unit with a power. A plurality of insulation photo coupler detects a breakdown detection signal of a light/voltage conversion unit(13). An encoder(23) converts the output signal of the insulation photo coupler into a BCD(binary coded decimal) code. A memory unit(24) records the BCD code according to an inner light signal, supplies a BCD code corresponding to a read key selection signal, and resets the recorded contents in case of a reset key selection. A decoder/display(25) displays a breakdown address and resets the decoder/display contents in case of the reset key selection.
