PURPOSE: A remote controller for home appliances is provided to install a network processing unit and a transceiver unit to home appliances and a network in home suitably and implement a simple communication infra by constructing the serial communication environment among the home appliances by power line. CONSTITUTION: A first network processing unit(10) can communicate with the external and so receives the remote control information. Also the unit(10) is connected with a home network and then transmits the remote control information to the corresponding home appliance and simultaneously receives the state information of the home appliance. The second network processing units(20,30) are connected to the first network processing unit(10) by power lines in order to receive the remote control information and connected to the respective home networks, thereby receiving the remote control information and simultaneously the state information of the corresponding device. Transceiver units(15,25,35) are installed between the output terminal of the first network processing unit(10) and the input terminals of the second network processing units(20,30). The first and second network processing units(20,30) are embedded type communication control modules having a network control unit(11) and a network connection unit(12).
