PURPOSE: A synchronizer for a manual transmission of a vehicle is provided to absorb shock, and to improve shift quality by rolling and contacting a sleeve and a clutch gear in synchronizing. CONSTITUTION: A synchronizer of a manual transmission for a vehicle is composed of a hub fixed in a main shaft; a sleeve(1) arranged over the hub with a groove for moving by a shift fork; a synchronizer ring(3) synchronizing the hub and a clutch gear(5); plural keys arranged in the groove of the hub; a spring arranged in the sleeve; and rolling members inserted to the end of the sleeve and the end of the clutch gear. Symmetrical inclined surfaces(1a) are formed in ends of the sleeve, and a steel ball is inserted to the groove of the sleeve. A ball is placed in the groove of the clutch gear. The synchronizer ring is synchronized with moving the sleeve by the shift lever, and the end of the clutch gear is contacted to the inclined surface of the sleeve. Impact is absorbed, and shift quality is improved with contacting the sleeve and the clutch gear with balls.
