PURPOSE: A viscosity measurement stirrer is provided to measure the high temperature viscosity of metal in the reaction furnace in an accurate manner by minimizing generation of high temperature oxygen in the connection part between graphitic member and suspension. CONSTITUTION: A viscosity measurement stirrer comprises a graphitic member(22) having a stepped portion(24) where a male screw(24a) is formed along the outer periphery of the stepped portion; and a suspension(26) having an expanded end(26') where a female screw(26a) to be coupled with the male screw of the stepped portion is formed. The graphitic member is assembled to the suspension in such a manner that a predetermined gap is maintained in a lengthwise direction between the stepped portion of the graphitic member and the suspension.
