PURPOSE: A device for controlling tension of a parking brake cable is provided to maintain tension of a cable by pulling the cable through a ratchet unit. CONSTITUTION: A tension controller of a cable for a parking brake comprises a button formed on an inner side portion of a grip member; a rod connected to a pawl by being installed on the other side portion of the grip member; a piston(13) moved in rotating the pawl by being mounted on a pressurizing cylinder(14); a hydraulic pressure maintaining unit equally maintaining hydraulic pressure of the pressurizing cylinder; a piston rod(15) having a latch unit; a controlling cylinder(16) connected to a cable(C) by being arranged on the piston rod; a connecting link(19) engaged with the pawl by hinges; a hydraulic chamber(20) connected to a hydraulic conduit by being installed on the pressurizing cylinder; a piston(21) pressurizing oil of the hydraulic chamber; a spring(22) supporting the piston; and a supporting plate(23) supporting the spring.
