PURPOSE: A refrigerator and method for attaching and detaching touch screen of the same are provided to allow a user to control the refrigerator anywhere the user wants. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator includes a touch screen(10), detachably installed on a front surface of the refrigerator(1) to execute key input function and display function; a touch screen microcomputer(20), controlling the touch screen to output image corresponding with key signals of the touch screen and execute corresponding function; and a refrigerator microcomputer(30), controlling refrigerating and freezing function of the refrigerator and connected with the touch screen microcomputer to execute refrigerator control signal corresponding with key signals of the touch screen.
