PURPOSE: A method for driving a pointing device is provided to rotate a shape design in a three-dimensional CAD(Computer Aided Design) program by using a wheel and button installed in the pointing device. CONSTITUTION: The method for driving a pointing device comprises the steps of a user fixing one button including to the pointing device as a three dimensional scroll button, monitoring a click of the scroll button, measuring the pressing time of the scroll button in case of clicking the scroll button and changing the pointing device into the three-dimensional scroll mode in case that the measured time is larger than a time set by the user. The three-dimensional shape on a screen is rotated to a direction according to the movement of the scroll button. |
