PURPOSE: A method that is capable of producing hot rolled stainless steel for electronic parts with good surface quality by controlling Ca content in steel and reheating temperature of slab. CONSTITUTION: In a manufacturing method of 304 hot rolled stainless steel where a slab comprising Cr 17-18 wt.%, Ni 8-9 wt.%, C 0.04 wt.% or less, Si 1 wt.% or less, N 500 ppm or less is reheated followed by hot-rolling, the present invention is characterized in that Ca is added in above slab in an amount of 0.05-0.5 wt.%, and this Ca-added slab is reheated in the temperature range of 1225-1250°C followed by hot-rolling.
