PURPOSE: A system for suppressing repetition starting of the high voltage motor which minimizes reduction of a life time of equipment by enabling efficient operation of a high voltage pump motor inside a hot rolling water treatment scale pit, and a method for automatically controlling operation of the system are provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling the system for suppressing repetition starting of a high voltage motor comprises the processes of processing the level signals by receiving level signals from a level detector (S10); designating the number of motors according to a level of a pit (S20); automatically performing stand-by during stopping of a motor so as to give starting conditions to a next motor (S30); and checking the number of operating motors by comparing a current level of the pit with operating motors in real time (S40), wherein a motor in the stopped motors which is stopped for the longest period of time is started first.
