PURPOSE: An apparatus for exchanging a blade for removing foreign materials on the surface of a roll is provided to improve quality of products produced by automatically exchanging the blade according to a degree of abrasion of the blade of a foreign material removing equipment. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for exchanging a blade which is contacted on the surface of a rotating roll(1) to remove foreign materials on the surface of the roll, the apparatus comprises a transfer member transferring a fixing part separately fixing the blade(3) along a length direction of the roll; a blade exchanging part(B) pulling out the blade from the fixing part that is transferred by the transfer member and mounting a new blade onto the fixing part; and a blade supply part(C) supplying the new blade to a blade mounting part, wherein the blade fixing part is equipped with a wear amount measuring means measuring a wear amount of the blade worn out while the blade removes foreign materials on the surface of the roll, and the transfer member transfers the fixing part to the blade exchanging part when a measured wear amount measured by the wear amount measuring means exceeds an allowable wear amount of the blade.
