PURPOSE: A device and method for sealing an isolation valve of a gas pipe is provided to isolate harmful gas and to prevent an accident by preventing leakage of the gas. CONSTITUTION: A device for sealing an isolation valve of a gas pipe comprises a seat formed on a disc; a tube(3) fixed on the seat of the disc; a fixing plate removably installed on the tube by a bolt; a rotational shaft rotationally combined to a valve; a stopper attached to a lower portion of a casing; a fixing unit having a protrusion unit to fix the rubber tube; an injecting line injecting air into the tube; a joint connecting the controller to the tube; a bombe(15) maintaining specific pressure of the tube by being mounted on an inert-gas injector to prevent explosion; a pressure switch(16) detecting an inner pressure of the bombe; a safety valve(17) attached to the inert-gas injector; a manometer(19) detecting the present pressure; a check valve(20) mounted on a N2 supplying line; and a solenoid valve(21).
