PURPOSE: A hinge assembly for an engine hood panel of a vehicle is provided to prevent a pedestrian from being injured by buffering impact with turning a rotating body and moving down a hood supporting unit, a hood hinge and the hood panel in bumping the pedestrian into the hood panel. CONSTITUTION: A hinge assembly of an engine hood panel for a vehicle is composed of a fixing bracket(30) having a supporting plate(31) and a supporting rod(32) in a vehicle body panel; an impeller(34) integrally formed in the supporting plate; a rotating body(33) installed elastically by a tension spring(35); a hood supporting unit(38) installed in the upper part of the rotating body, and combined with an engine hood panel(12) to support a hood hinge(23); a fixing link(36) formed in the impeller; a turning lever(41) installed in the lower part of the engine hood panel, and fitted to the fixing link to turn; and an impact transmitting lever(40) rotating the turning lever in applying impact to the engine hood panel. The turning lever is separated from the turning member with operating the impact transmitting lever in bumping the pedestrian into the engine hood panel, and the turning member is rotated by restoring force of the spring. The pedestrian is protected with buffering by moving down the hood hinge and the hood panel.
