PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform binary division on sensors into active sensors and non-active sensors when evaluating sensor signals from seat mats in vehicle seats. SOLUTION: Resistance values of the pressure sensors in the seat mats 1 of the vehicle seats are used as sensor signals. In this case, the resistance values are compared with a threshold value, and it is determined that the sensors with the resistance values smaller than the threshold value are active and that the sensors with the resistance values larger than the threshold value are non-active. By this, it is possible to obtain a linear evaluation technique to classify the weight of the crew present on the vehicle seats. By this, a seating profile is created by the active sensors and the non-active sensors. |
