PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-heating builder capable of significantly improving detergency of a detergent for clothes, etc., by the high cation exchange capacity and exothermicity when formulated to the detergent for clothes, etc., and provide a method for stabilizing the builder effective for stably holding the functions of the builder. SOLUTION: This self-heating builder can be obtained by carrying out heating treatment of a zeolite represented by xM2O-ySiO2-Al2O3-zMeO (wherein, M denotes an alkali metal; Me denotes an alkaline earth metal; x is 0.2-2; y is 0.5-6; and z is 0.005-0.1) as a composition formula of the anhydride and having water of crystallization and the method for stabilizing the self-heating builder comprises coating the self-heating builder with a substance having <=1 wt.% water content or dispersing the self-heating builder into the substance.
