PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape cassette with which the recording of the magnetic tape can be normally read and written by allowing the magnetic tape to travel stably. SOLUTION: This magnetic tape cassette freely turnably supports tape reels wound with the magnetic tape 1 and a guide rollers 6 for guiding the magnetic tape 1 within a cassette case and in which the magnetic tape 1 is guided by the guide rollers 6 and travels in a prescribed position. The guide rollers 6 are formed to a drum shape and the differenceΔbetween the maximum diameter and minimum diameter of their outer peripheral surfaces is >=0.2 to <=1.0 mm. The coefficient of frictionμM between the outer peripheral surfaces of the guide rollers 6 and the magnetic tape 1 is >=0.20 to <=0.35.
