The drive motor is mounted in the hub (1) of the wheel. The motor stator (21) and rotor (22) are mounted in the wheel hub then a lateral cover is fitted over the hub to retain the motor. The rotor is fixed to axle (3) and the stator to the wheel hub. The stator has the brush holder disk (211) at its inner periphery, and the rotor brushes (222) connected by wires (31) to an external supply.
