PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing liquid excellent in color developability on a regular paper, high in image preservability such as light stability, thus improved in reliability, to provide an ink-jet ink, to provide a water-miscible organic solvent to be added to the ink for affording the ink with issue stability through giving the ink moisture retainability, to provide an embodiment of practicing improving ink wettability onto printing media, to provide a physical property range meeting the good compatibility with members and high preservation stability of the ink within the printing system, to provide a printing method using the ink, to provide an ink cartridge, and to provide an ink-jet printer. SOLUTION: This printing liquid comprises a coloring material, an organic solvent for dispersing or dissolving the coloring material, water, and a free acid-type cyclic compound of the general formula 1 (x is 4-8) or a salt thereof. |
