The weapon consists of a non-consumable launcher (2) built round a guide assembly and equipped with a shoulder strap (5) a supporting handle (6) and a firing handle (7), a recoil damping system (12) and a sighting system, and a consumable container tube (3), mounted detachably on the launcher and designed to hold the munition until it is fired. The container tube is locked onto a guide system (14) resting on a rail fixed to the launcher, and has a closed end with a thrust disc and propulsion assembly set off by the firing handle.
