PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent that has excellent printability when used for an inkjet coating method and that gives a liquid crystal alignment film having excellent electric characteristics.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal aligning agent comprises: at least one polymer (A) selected from the group consisting of a polyamic acid obtained by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with diamine, a polyimide, and a polyamic acid ester; and a solvent. The solvent comprises at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of diethylene glycol propylmethylether and diethylene glycol butylmethylether.SELECTED DRAWING: None
